2) Yes, if you have the capital at hand to throw into the market.
3) No idea because there isn't a leveling system in the game. How long does it take to reach those levels in Warframe?
If you are looking for an easy game to jump into, turn back around before you even install, this game will take some effort to learn and understand, and those who are easily discouraged, slow learners, or otherwise do not have the time to invest in the game should turn back now. EVE Online isn't just a game, it's a hobby (and probably an addiction I need help with). If you aren't interested in picking up a new hobby, turn back now. If you aren't interested in spending countless hours, nights, and sometimes weeks of work to reach a certain goal, turn back now. This game isn't for everyone.
If, after all that, you are still interested. Go. Go and install the game. This game just might be for you. Good luck with the game, don't get discouraged by anything, and most of all play for fun, not for ISK (I mean, it's your sandbox, so do how you please but it's much more enjoyable to ignore the ISK once you get a few hundred million ISK going).
The only turn me off is Pvp thou. I like grinding, selling and chat and collect gears/weapons/ships/etc... But not Pvp.
Maybe I will give this game a spin after I done acquire all the prime that was just rerelease.
Then double this time for your character to learn the faction specific weapons skills.
Takes something like 6 months to just be able to sit in all of the T1 subcapital ships for a faction and be able to arm them. And on top of that there are hundreds of ancilliary skills you HAVE to have, such as powergrid skills, armor skills.
And on top of that there are tech 2 weapons and ships which are just statistically better options. Then there's tech 3, which is modular ships. Then you have capital ships which are essentially another game within the game as they can only really interact effectively with each other or with station structures.
And I could go on, but even after a couple of years of real world time training your character you're still not going to be "end game" or anything like it.
Oh and this is all assuming maximum stats for the skills you want to train. You get one stat respec per year and each type of skill has different stats which dictate the rate at which you train. And on top of that there's implants which if you die you lose which are also assumed to be present here but take lots of money, which gets us into the next;
Then you have the actual grind of the game, which is making ISK. This is good and bad because there's no real having to kill monster X 10,000 times to get that 0.01% drop (someone else already did that) but on the other hand you have to spend hours grinding just to get the money to do anything, and there are swarms of accounts all played by individuals who's entire purpose in the game is to kill you before you can make your money properly, which extends the grind even more.
A way around this is player run corps, which in theory (though not always due to war decs and such) give you a greater degree of security to earn money and better facilities to do it (ie WH bases) but then you're beholden to the other members in your corp which can be good or bad.
TL:DR this is the grindiest game in existence. Last time I checked it took something like 13 years with maximum theoretical stat efficiency to learn everything (though you'll almost certainly never max out everything on one character and will have multiple alts, all paid for of course, which is how CCP makes thier money).
:D
A useful thing for the OP if you can remember is how long that took for you to train to. Exploration is probably the fastest "career" to get into after all.
I'm giving estimates by the best of my recollection but they're probably off. Also as I understand it you can buy SP now right?
