No Sound Effects

Is anyone else having no sound effects after the recent patch? I have music, and UI sound effects, but no ship, weapon, explosions, no actual "effects" sounds

Did you check settings on system as well as in-game?

I have this problem sometimes...it comes and goes, but I have no idea how to fix it other than retarting the game and hoping it works again.

Not getting any sound effects for ship, weapons etc either - rest of sounds work - checked all settings in game and out - have no problem with sound for any other game or process - any ideas?

yeap .. this has happened once to me long time ago like XP days I think.. where a simple restart didn't fix it.. and had to reinstall game.. check audio tab in eve settings make sure something didn't get unticked somehow (I wouldn't know how that happened), but have seen this.. and if reinstall doesn't work.. I promise it's probably directx related .. it can get jacked up over time I think with different games installing and uninstalling.. but hope the latter isn't it

Not sure if todays patch did something but its now working - weird - anyway thanks for the reply and suggestions - good fortune!

Actually I figured out problem with sound part - in audio settings the world level slider got set to zero for some reason- I increased that back up and got the sound effects back again.
