minmatar vs caldari missile ships?

Just curious. I noticed they can both use missiles, both tend to be shield tanks. Is there a big difference between the two? or just aethetics?

Caldari shield tanks focus more on resistances and Minmatar shield tanks focus more on brute rep strength. That said, Caldari ships are fairly limited when it comes to armor tanking, they typically lack the PG and/or low slots to do it well. The Minmatar though typically have enough of both to atleast make it practical without having to break the bank to do so.

As for the missiles themselves, it's pretty much a toss up as to which race gets the better of it.

If you're looking to train into missile boats, one thing to consider is that both Mordu and Guristas ship lines (i.e. the pirate ships that use missiles in the high slots) require Caldari/Gallente training, whereas the pirate ships that use minmatar training are all gunnery ships.

One could also mention Amarr, as there are some t2 ships that focus on missiles + armor (plus the t1 amarr drone boats can be fitted out with missiles in the high, although they get no bonuses to missiles).

If you mean for easy PvE, then its mostly aesthetics. Otherwise, those are very different depends on bonuses, not talking even 1 slot difference is important. Btw, why missles? Use drones ^^ Drones are love ^^
