im looking for Mercoxit.I know I need a special miner and its in low sec. can I get a name of a known area its in and what miner,expectations of finding some?

You are looking for get killed if you go to mine to low, null or worm space alone.

Join a worm, null or low sec corp if you want to mine rare ores. Mercoxit is in worm or null >>anomalies<< and not belts, they are very easy to reach by gankers. Thats why you need a big group to defend yourself or at least to die whit big explotions.

If you want to mine alone and rare ores i suggest going for gas in wormholes insted of ores.

I don’t think you can find mercoxit in low sec. I’ve never heard of it being there.

I know for certain it spawns in certain wormhole ore sites, more frequently the higher the class of wormhole, and in belts in the lowest true sec systems of null sec.

Your best chances of finding it are likely to join either: A) a wormhole Corp in a c4, c5, or c6 and mine at the sites there or B) a null sec alliance that controls space of -.75 true sec or lower.

That aside, you need the Deep Core Mining skill and deep core mining lasers. There also a rig that can be useful.

To OP, find a corp to mine in, fleet mining in WH or Null is the best way to go. Solo can't make it at all unless you have a dozen alts.

Newbie corporations are the best way to get quick access to all types of nullsec ore. Join any large newbie powerhouse corporation :
- Karmafleet - newbie corp of Goons, they do a lot of mining
- Brave Newbies - independent, probably the best corp for teaching newbies
- Pandemic Horde - newbie corp of PanFam, easiest access, you can join them in a matter of minutes to hours


Ask them how to travel to their area, they should provide you with the instructions. Then go there and mine mercoxit in their sites.

Someone mentioned that mercoxit is an endgame for miners. There is no such thing as endgame,as this is a sandbox and you can do whatever you wish.
