2. the difference between wormhole classes are the difficulty of the pve and exploration stuff c1 wormholes are pretty easy class 6 however need capital ships to do combat sites
3.mostly pve and exploration there also is PI and if you are some crazy miner there are some rly good things you can mine in wormholes that is if you can deal with the sleepers
4.by going through other wormholes or the one you entered the womrhole from
Wormhole class can be identified in-game by right clicking the wormhole connection and opening the info window, it will describe what sort of system is on the other side of the connection. C1-C3 wormholes are described as "unknown system", C4 and C5s are described as "dangerous unknown", and C6 are described as "deadly unknown".
This site is good for identifying the specific class of wormhole (just type the system name into the search).

Another possible activity (that I haven't personally tried) would be ninja mining/gas harvesting. Wormholes have ore/gas sites with null quality ores, just be aware that sleepers will spawn in after a certain amount of time (think it's 15 mins?) after someone has first entered the site, so there is a time limit/risk (also a risk that someone stopped by the site before you).
Wormhole connections are also great for getting around at a greatly decreased risk of encountering a gate camp, so one could use them to day trip into deep null and back, if you want to do some null ratting.
Wormholes are intended as high-end, high-SP content. They ask more of the player, their skills (personal and in-game), and their ships than any other region of space.
You could always start a second character and train them specifically for a wormhole ship, like a drake, and pay for omega with what they earn.
When I lived in a C6, ratting for a few hours in a week would let me pay, in-game, for 3 accounts for that month. While PLEX prices have gone up since then, it’s still doable.
The best recomendation I can make, is that you should take some time to look at wormhole corporations that allow Alpha's. And the best place to do that is probably here[forums.eveonline.com].
PLEX is really expensive so I can't really see how I could pay for omega with that, but I guess I'd have to start making tons of ISK every day to be able to pay that much.
Also what good does one get by joining a corporation since I can't see any benefits expect for chatting with them and that they will gain a bigger fleet?
You can live alone in wormhole or day-trip in them, true, but the only way to really succeed at living in them is with the support structure that a corp provides. It means more eyes on dscan or on open wormholes when you're ratting. It means having backup available when hostiles come around looking to spoil your day. It means having people who can help you get your loot to high sec to sell it. It means being able to do higher class wormhole sites (more isk earned) safely and effiecently.
Edit: Wormholes can make so much money in a hurry, the cost of plex isn't that big a deal.
Look up exploration, the youtuber Reload makes a good guide on this. Easy money, not too boring but not super fun, and builds good skills all around.
Already knew about it becoming f2p, but I'll definitely check out the Reload guy.
