Coolest ship in the game?
On visuals and looks alone, what's your favorite ship in the game? I have a top nine, not including capital ships:

1. Orthrus

2. Vedmak/Ikitursa

3. Machariel

4. Garmur

5. Corax

6. Damavik

7. Algos

8. Navitas

9. Cormorant

Note that this list is subject to edits as my opinion changes and develops. That's my list for now, though.

My favorite ship to look at is the Nyx, and while I can fly one with nearly perfect skills I never have outside the test server.

My favorite ship to fly is the Hurricane, at one point I had two Hurricanes for every day of the week with shield and armor setups respectively.

Megatron hull + police skin.

I really like the Zephyr. it just looks amazing and how I would imagine an exploration ship. with the solar panel and all... too bad that it's pretty much useless. I also like the Sansha ships. they have some kind of 'mad max' craziness that I like.

I like the redesigned Osprey Navy, Vagabond is pretty gnarly looking and I think the ferox is the meanest looking ship in the game. I also like how the Rook looks too. Above all that though I think the machariel takes the cake, dem curves man.

The Astero looks brilliant, as well as the Stratios. The Nestor not so much, it feels too large and the design just didn't scale well.

Stratios #1, followed by the Barghest

A friend of mine once said "That thing looks like a flying space pancake."

Sabre for flying, Rifter for admiring.

The inner dwarf in me has to go with most of the miner ships tho that stretches to even the Cargo ships
Mimung May 7, 2019 @ 8:14am
Gila is the most beautiful ship by far imo

I liked the shape and design of the Armageddon Battle Cruiser, it looked like an overweight hawk. :steamhappy:

I trained up to perfect skills with both the Damnation and Absolution for that reason. I could tank a complete lvl4 mission with the Damnation far better than with the Paladin which was a Battle Ship specifically for mission running and I had perfect skills for that also.

That was until they nerfed them like CCP always does. Some crybaby starts whining that they can't win against a certain ship and CCP hit it hard with the nerf hammer, reducing it to near useless junk. In one fell swoop, your months of skill training to specialise in them with perfect skills is wasted so some noob with a general purpose skill set can kill you easily. Not only that, they never hit the ship specifically, they hit the mods with a nerf that has devastating effects across all ships that rely on those mods to survive, (I refer specifically to the speed nerf that they dealt with by nerfing nanofibers that left bigger ships completely unable to escape gate camps at all).

After 6 years of playing, I was specialised in all T2 ships right up to Battleships and combat as well as all commercial mining ships up to the Hulk, along with associated mining skills. As an interceptor pilot, I could push my speed up to well over 4K, orbit an enemy ship which was completely unable to hit me due to tracking speeds and even their drones couldn't catch me while I scrambled and webbed it for my friends to destroy at their leisure. I could use all command ships and all command bonus modules, including commercial ones that give mining bonus etc and also the perfect skills for the Orca Mining Capital. I WAS starting to train for other capital ships, the Dreadnought and Carrier but the constant nerfing that reduced my perfect skills for mods to a total waste of time made me quit the game.

The time based skill training system may have been a good idea to avoid grinding the skills, but it does mean a single nerf can completely wipe out months worth of skill training and CCP loves to swing the nerf hammer when whiners start winging on the forums with no thought about the consequences that nerf has on other things.

Oh, you mean the Prophecy not the Armageddon, right? the fat flying chicken? xD I like it too. I highly doubt that something got nerfed because of one "whiner start winging on the forums with no thought about the consequences that nerf has on other things" ;) there's a bit more to that as you probably know yourself.
