-Sites always spawn within 5 AU of a celestial (think it's actually a little bit closer, but I forget the exact number off hand)
-While dscan is open, the solar system map will show a bubble showing the range of your dscan.
-In wormholes, it's a good idea to run a dscan on all celestials, see if there's anyone in system with you. It takes a little extra time, but it'll save your ship one day. Note that dscan won't detect cloaked folks or folks in combat recon cruisers.
---!!!ALWAYS BOOKMARK ANY WORMHOLE CONNECTION YOU'VE GONE THROUGH IMMEDIATELY!!!---
-Personally, I like to scan down and bookmark sites before warping to any of them. I just find it's more efficient to do them all at once rather than probe/hack/probe/hack/probe/hack...
-Establish a system for clearly marking bookmarks and knowing what they are at a glance. Bookmarking organization is critical for explorers. Just note that some corps have their own particular notation systems.
-Some corps use tools like siggy or tripwire for sharing information about signatures and wormhole chains
-Since the grid size was increased recently, I like to place a bookmark (at least 150 km away) as I warp in to a data/relic site as soon as I see stuff on overview. That way I can warp to and from the bookmark to the data/relic container rather than travel between the containers. It's especially useful for those more spread out sites. It also serves as a nice perch for when I'm hunting explorers, can warp right on top of them as they hack.
- T1 exploration ships are heron, magnate, imicus, and probe.
