Recruit a friend rewards not recieved
I just sent a recruit a friend email to a friend that doesnt have Steam or EVE. They created a steam account and then created an Eve account. They then bought the starter pack and they are now have an upgraded account. BUT...neither he nor I have recieved any recruitment rewards. Does this take a while to apply to each account? I look under my "Past Invites" and I see him but it still says he created an alpha account on Nov 24.

The buddy trial only applies to a "normal" EVE account that is manually created, and not the one that is automatically created through Steam. Basically, your friend has two accounts, and the starter pack went to the one that's not the buddy trial (and any sort of starter pack, even those you get on Amazon/GMG, nullifies the buddy rewards anyway).

It definately applied to the correct account because the character was upgraded to an Omega clone. The only reason he signed up was because we were going to split the ISK from selling the PLEX and the 250k bonus right off the bat isnt bad either. So not only does it not qualify for the buddy rewards, he's out the money for the starter pack (because the items are worthless). Why is this so confusing and why isn't it clearly stated on the recruit page or the starter pack page? How hard is it to have a 1 liner on the packs page that says "buddy rewards not valid with purchase of any packs"? This sort of stuff really pisses me off because it isnt hard to do that and I'm sure they don't do it on purpose because there are other people that fall into the trap. But when I can buy a pack for my eve account and that pack upgrades me to an Omega account and the ONLY stipulation on the buddy page is that your friend has an Omega account, I think that is pretty shady. He should have just paid the $14 for the sub. I had a whole crew of other guys that were waiting to see how this panned out before they signed up.

I'd say contact the EVE customer support.
