Jita: Notice anything odd?
So I am a man of statistics. I've read as live data rn in Jita, that nobody likes anyone in Jita, and it's a 0.9 sec space. I can't go through any other part of space to get to it, as if I would like to, as nothing is good when in low sec or in that sol system apparently. I'm just putting this as a notice since I never really expect much.

Statistics included:
30-70+ Pod kills in the hour
700+ pod kills within 24 hours
1000+ activate pilots docked

Normally in a calm system, you don't see much of that
Is this a sort of normal thing I just don't understand or do I not get much about this?

If this is just an excuse and I'm wrong, please tell me. If I'm not..also tell me

Jita is the largest trade hub in the game, so naturally it is a hotspot for suicide gankers, war dec corps, and folks looking to duel. Shenanigans are normal in that system and in nearby systems, as well as the trade routes between it and other major hubs.

No one's going to touch you in Jita unless you're either in a corporation that's at war and there are hostiles camping for targets, or you're carrying something worthwhile to suicide-gank.

not sure if it still happens, but id add trashtalking certain people aswell. i know for a long time, trashtalking chribba would get you ganked on the amarr undock by various people.

but yeah, not exactly sure what the OP means by "calm system"; considering highsec is STILL one of the most active areas in the game, and therefore, is host to what was it, 70% of all material/asset/player deaths?

I openly attacked Chribba in Amarr, and no one did ♥♥♥♥. The only people with the balls to actually do something are the ones who don't care about the roleplay BS. The ones who actually get angry sit inside the station and only talk about what will happen, as you're sitting there outside in your T1 cruiser with a suspect flag. You'll get shot by the former group, but for different reasons.

Bears will be bears.

i mean, it was less "roleplay" and more there was at *least* a whole year long period a long while back when i lived around amarr, where mouthing off about him got you shot.

though that was also likely due to some overlap between the people mouthing off about chribba generally also being the ones demanding lvl 5 missions in highsec, pvp toggles, and a "new server" to escape all the "overpowered old people"

You are just flying to wrong ship and/or have tasty cargo. Ships like a Dramiel or a Manticore are fairly safe even with a few bil in the cargo bay

"Jita Burns!" at least thats what are guild leader frequently tells us.

"Jita Burns!" seems to be some sort of player created event where various corps and solo players of PVP gankers camp out jita space and attack almost anything they see. They will suicide gank you for no profit, regardless of if your a newb or in a corp, war declared or not, they dont care. They encourage other like minded players to join in the chaos.

So occasionally "Jita Burns!"

So whenever we hear that "Jita Burns!" it means stay away from that trade hub, and use one of the other trade hubs. Usually lasts a couple days, typically during peak hours, before the corps get tired of it all and move on to other stuff. Then in a few weeks, "Jita Burns!" again.

I have yet to hear of any other trade hubs "Burning"
