Out of conversations

Do I bone myself by running out of conversations in all four topics too quickly (within the first month) or do more eventually open up? It seemed like I wasted a lot of potential bonus points, but I didn’t realize they would exhaust so quickly. Am I just supposed to spam gifts over and over for the rest of the game?

I've only gotten to Month 2, but I got some new topics with the gal I was going after- so I think you'll get some more as you progress in their storylines?

i have the same problem as OP i think i maxed out my relationship with one of the girls i've unlocked all the conversation topics and ran out of things to say... now i'm kindda stuck no new event since month 3.... now it's monday 19 of month 4 and nothing happened yet ... did i f'ed up somewhere ?

you don't get more topics you have to reach new events via gifts... unfortunately...

Shouldn't be an issue if you pick good answers during events.

well in my case i think i've took the right choices (i'm not sure) and my last event was on month 3 then nothing about the girl i was going for until the end of month 4 then at the end i had a black screen :

Use gifts to get it over the threshold for the next set of events. Personally I found it much more effective to put the VN stuff aside and focus on the combat first. High stats give you significant bonus points per interaction, and running through all the combat levels will give you more than enough money for all the gifts you need to speed it up.

It's kind of annoying though as you're not always sure if you're supposed to be waiting for an event to trigger or if you should just keep feeding them items.

yup Op can do that if he wants to unlock new topics of conversation

but in my case i was completly maxed out in relationship and stats (one could say that i've finished my squire training on the month 2 of the game) i even gave her the ocarina of love and gave her giflts everyday until the end of the game but nothing ... the last event was on month 3... no friendzone ending, no bad ending nothing at all the last day my screen went black like the screenshot i posted above and my game froze

Yeah, I think that you want to avoid talking to girls in the first month. There is plenty of time in months 2-4, and you talk more efficiently.

The only thing to keep in mind though is that one of the birthday's (the foreign princess) is early in month 2, so if you don't have that girl to the 2nd relationship level you won't know about it and miss that event. It's something you can just leave for NG+ though.

Well pal welcome to the club. I gave Vel the ocarina even after getting the Red Heart at the start of the 4th month, still got the bromance ending. The game also froze the same way it did. Theres no way im replaying this again till NG+ comes and if it wont come ill just bin this.

Edit: Theres anything after the Red Heart? I thought it was like this:

Blue: Get outa my sight
White: Ure a nobody
Yellow: Friend
Pink: Ure a charming fellow
Red: Rabu Rabu u

well apparently you're supposed to receive an ending after you've scored enought point with one of the girls i'm retrying Vel's route for the third time replaying the game entirely to make sure i'm not failing anywhere but it's always the same thing for me too after i make that choice "we'll find another way" nothing else happen

@Sir Commandant: Please dont waste your time, i invested my playthrough solely on PETANKO not skipping a single day on conversation and gifts and still got the bromance. Her route is most likely bugged since on the Dev thread about endings there was a dude that went for Brigitte and Vel, he had invested more on Vel than Brigitte and yet he got Brigitte ending. If this dont sound like a bug idk whats what anymore.

I admire your determination. I ended mine with her score over 6.2k then the game black screened me and after restarting it defaulted me to bromance ending. Got so salty almost punched my monitors. Ill be replaying the game again but not rn the fires of rage still lingers on my skin.

So much for one waifu for my laifu heh... Im still saving Amy for last because shes cute af and im not eating that sweetroll till ive seen everynyan.

Hi everyone, it seems there was really a problem with getting Vel's endings. We're so sorry! We've already pushed a patch. Please update your games; the fix should be available in v1.0.1a.

As an apology, here's a guide of the 'missable' arc scenes and the choices you have to make in order to get Vel's romance ending (spoilers):


Arc 1 Scene 2 - choose 'Teach the Shrimp a lesson' in Arc 1 Scene 1 to get this scene
Arc 2 Scene 3 - choose 'Nah, she can handle herself' in Arc 2 Scene 2 to get this scene
Arc 3 Scene 3 - choose 'You owned up to your mistakes' in Arc 3 Scene 2 to get this scene
Arc 4 Scene 2 - choose 'I'm sure he'd appreciate it if it's from you' in Arc 4 Scene 1 to get this scene

Other notes:
* Total relationship points should be at least 5500.
* You need to get her romance ending by Month 4 Day 29, latest. You automatically go to bad ending or bromance (if you're not pursuing any girl) by Month 4 Day 30. This rule applies to all girls and not just Vel.
