xbox one controller not working?

I am on mac os big sur with intel chip

I can't navigate the menus with my xbox one controller. The main buttons are usually unresponsive so it wouldn't let me remap buttons. Sometimes when I pressed A or X on something in the options menus it would boot me out to the main menu (where none of the buttons ever work) rather than just not doing anything.

Thought ok, I can live with some things being mapped to the wrong places, but upon entering the game the look stick does not work, I don't think it even registers an input. It's not an issue with sensitivity, either, that's set to 55 right now, and the move stick works.

Zero support for Xbox controller right now, can confirm. Disgraceful.

Same thing happened to me with the Switch controller. WTH?

I can confirm PS4 controller does NOT work correctly on Mac (Catalina) either. Works fine with other games

When connected via Bluetooth I can move left stick in the menu but NOT select anything. When I connect it via USB I CAN select items in the menu, however when I load the game, the look axis is locked to horizontal only; NO vertical movement.

Same problem here with OX 11.4 and PS4 controller. Everything is fine with other games.

I have the same issue. xbox one controller on mac. a button doesn't work on menu screen. right joystick inverted in the game

Same for macos monterey with stadia and xbox controler on intel ship (macbook pro 2019). Anyone have a solution ?
