Large room problems

Anyone got problems with the large room? I cant place some things and i can't deconstruct Windows and hatches, i placed än alien containment with a hatch, now i can't remove the hatch, it just wants to remove the containment. Can anyone help, does someone have the same problem?

I haven't seen it on the large rooms yet, but I do experience similar issues with multi-purpose rooms, not being able to deconstruct things like water filters and such. Use the F8 key when in game to submit a bug when you see problems like this.

Is there anything like windows or bulkheads unfinished on your base? As that seeme to block the ability to deconstruct any windows/bulkheads

I was just going to post about this. I wanted to rearrange my base today and am unable to deconstruct any partitions, doors, or large equipment such as the water filter. I can remove all the storage units, but anything that changes the actual walls of the base can't be removed. I think this may have to do with trying to place another large room on top of the other and then changing my mind and deconstructing before finishing it? Maybe it thinks it's still there and is bugging my main one? I was able to delete partitions just yesterday. So I don't know...

so i have my giant alien containment, i put a bench in front of it... i then decide i want a window, i'm outside and try to place it... red... i come in try to place it, red... the bench was in the way... just a small part of it but it wouldn't let me build until i took it out. SO if anything built is touching anything you want to build on you need to take it out b4 u can build there...

UPDATE: I've been messing with things trying to figure this out. Still nothing after getting rid of all non-wall-changing components (storage, fab, bat charger, etc). About to give up, swam outside randomly pressing Q, suddenly spotted a non-constructed window in the wall. I must have been planning to put on down and forgot about. Got rid of that, now I can suddenly deconstruct things! So it seems like the game considers anything attached to the outer walls of the room as part of the room itself, so you can't make any changes to any of it when something is in progress. Definitely a bug, but glad to have figured it out!

Okay so first thing first make sure there is nothing in the process of deconstructing. If there isn’t then try saving the game. If that dosent work then save the game and quit and then come back. It worked for me so try that. Anyways best of luck!

I have a partition with a door at the very opening to the large room, and cannot deconstruct the door, therefore cannot deconstruct the partitions, therefore cannot deconstruct the room. I need help either deconstructing the door or just deleting the entire large room from existence.

I'm having the same exact problem and nothing I do seems to be able to deconstruct it, hopefully the devs will fix this bug soon...

I had the same issue. I couldn't deconstruct any hatch, suddenly i even couldn't deconstruct windows or any other part of my base. But i could fix it: i deleted and reinstalled the game, startet a creative world where i build a room and a hatch, since i could build without any issues i startet a new game, gave myself a builder and some titanium and quarz, build a room and a hatch, deconstructed it, load in my normal game and now i can customize my base again. I hope others can help this!

You shouldn't have to reinstall the game. The in-game work around is to save. Quit, then reload. That usually resets the deconstruct lock and lets you correctly remove the unwanted structure.
