Massive GUI bug caused by snowfox

So I made it to the arctic spires and immediately started getting attacked by ice worms, normal stuff, but after I left I noticed my mask was acting strange, depending on the angle I was facing it would either disappear entirely or fill up way too much of the screen, I noticed later on land that it was also affecting my tools. Today I found out why, when I got knocked off my snowfox by an ice worm it suddenly got super stretched out, the next time it happened my character model stretched all the way across the screen, I couldn't see my inventory anymore, and my snowfox was so distorted that I couldn't use it anymore. I quit when I realized what was happening, but I had already saved yesterday so the damage is done. Most of the bugs are either minor or have an easy work around, but this one's kind of a game breaker. Has anybody else encountered this bug? If so have you found a way to fix it?

Edit: another person having this issue said it was the snowfox, so I think that's the problem

Incidentally, this is a glitch they still haven't got solid reproduction steps for. Did you have a jump module attached to your snowfox? Were you using it a lot, or boosting a lot, or both? Any details you can remember could help.

I have been using the jump module, I was only able to find the arctic spires by jumping onto a ledge with the snowfox, but I haven't been boosting. I think I might understand what's going on though, when you get going too fast the camera starts to zoom out, but when I got knocked off the bike I never got a chance to return back to normal, so my character stayed in that position. At least that's my theory, I could be wrong. Either way my save seems kinda borked, I might just wait for the next update to drop and make a new save after that, until then I think I'll try to make this bug happen on a different save

+10 for patience. Seems like a lot of people buy EA games expecting finished products these days.

I write something to fix that bug, but it's an exe and I don't believe people would execute an exe easily. However, it fixes the bug.

Any chance you have a link to that exe Ignis? I'm just starting to explore the glacial basin for the first time and I finally have a save file where I really like the base I've built (I often go through multiple total restarts because I hate my base - I'm weird that way). I'm scared of ending up with a corrupted save, and I'm not too worried about running something you threw together in 5 minutes.

Open a terminal with shift + right click.
"Open the powershell console in the same directory"
Type:

.\repairSaveBZ.exe -d 'E:\Steam\SteamApps\common\SubnauticaZero\SNAppData\SavedGames\slot0000\'

Be sure you have the right path or your corrupted save.

It creates two .back files, fixes the files in the slot. And if you already have .back files you have to remove them otherwise it does nothing. To prevent unintended behavior by typing the command twice. Pretty basic.

Excellent, thanks. I'd only actually need to correct E: to D:. Storage in my PC is pretty customized. Largely because my whole PC is custom (lol). I'm booting from a 500GB PCIe SSD, and most of my games are on a WD Blue 4TB 5400RPM drive which has a software level-1 1GB + level-2 64GB SSD cache (I had an older Corsair 64GB SSD around). Works nice, I get the bulk storage and still decent speed after first load or two.

Redownload it, I changed something in it.

It is still detected by 4 antivirus softwares, but not by Microsoft anymore.
There are false positives. I have the same result when I test directly with my executable.

To fix the bug I change some values in the bin file, and since antivirus works by known patterns in executable code used by virus software, they detect it as such.

Use virustotal.com. Microsoft appears in the executable you downloaded but not on the new one.
Still 4/69, but at least not Microsoft, Avast, MacAfee, etc.

Ok, just checking. I have a reasonably good idea how virus detection works, I mostly just wanted to know whether your own virus scanner reacts to it as well, because that would mean it's fine.

Your steps don't seem to work sadly. It might work when you already have the bug, but if I want to trigger the bug with a new game, it doesn't.

The thing with this bug is, if you don't have it, it's hard to reproduce. If you have it, it's easy to get it worse. And this fact is the reason why you don't notice it immediately.

Also, if you're pretty confident with your steps please make a video with a new game. That would be nice.

Такая же проблема с графикой в игре. Катался на скутере - лиса. Никаких модулей на скутере- лиса не установлено.
Покатался на скутере и все - длинные руки и т.д. Кроме этого, не могу входить в двери или проемы.

The same problem with the graphics in the game. I ride a scooter-fox. Any modules on the scooter-fox has not been established.

however when using freelook/freecam model seems to be fine ...
