Cannot fabricate alan parts

I hope someone can help, I cannot use the fabricators when trying to craft Alan body parts I have scanned the 3 parts i need i also have all the materials to construct them but when i click in the fabricator nothing happens except the sound of me clicking on it. There is nothing to scan in the room is this a bug if so is there a workaround.

Try to remove CellsCache/baked-batch-cells-21-grp0.zip/baked-batch-cells-21-13-10.bin while you're in the main menu. Then load your save.

Ok tried that but no joy.

But you're already in the cavern with the red crystals in the alien station with the body fabricator, right?
It doesn't work with the regular fabricator in the base or the seatruck.
