I think if you build two containments next to each other, and then build hatches between them, it should morph to a tunnel, so your fish and you can move back and forth between the tanks.

I think it'd be neat.

yes i tried hoping for this exact thing...sux. Although put another room above and then tank in centre.....

Yeah, It would be cool to be able to do that. But, at the moment you can stack alien containments. In a large room you can overlap on different floors. So one in The centre of the ground floor and then one off to the side on the floor above and they will connect only on the overlapping portion which is cool.
