In ieder geval, met wat ik nu weet koop ik voor die 30 euro liever kippen en kaas. ;-)
Exactly.
Another thing that always bothered me is that this game was the #1 selling game on Steam the minute it was dropped into early acces.
People had no Idea what to expect and they just bought this game because they loved the first one.
Now that the game is out of early acces and people know what to expect I'm wondering if it's still doing so great.
If it's as good as the original Subnautica (like so many people here claim) I'd love to see some recent sales numbers that confirm that.
Anders ik wel ;)
That being said, it's high on the Steam Top Sellers page, so it appears to be selling well for the moment.
It's high on the Steam charts because it just left early acces and that news is spreading.
In april it had average player count of 1900.
In april the average player count of the original was 3000.
So that makes me believe the original is a WAY bigger hit.
Many people are still in some form of lockdown, so there is still a demand for home entertainment, games being one of them. My guess is a lot of people just bought the game to have something to do, and ofc its link to the vastly superior Subnautica.
I think sales are solid, but many people realize they bought kind of a turd.
Maybe...Or maybe because the game was released when RE8 and Mass effect re-release got released.
As I've said on here before, the management of the company should be torn a new hole for even having the gall stones to face-up to such juggernauts.

That does not make any sense.
RE8 and Mass Effect are completely different games. This is open world survival. Not first person shooter.
Also the original Subnautica got released into early acces, nobody knew what it was. Just an unknown game from an unknown developer.
But it grew, and grew and grew.
All up into the glory days in early 2018 when it had an average player count of 17.000.
That's what I call succes. To grow into a masterpiece.
Below Zero got released as the sequel to it's incredibly successful big brother. People jumped on the hypetrain immediately.
Who the hell cared what it was? A sequel to Subnautica? This HAS to be great!
So it was sold like crazy. Even though it was early acces and nobody knew what it would become.
Even with the path of succes laid out for them like that, the game never reached above 3.000 average players in early acces.
So if this is really such a great sequel, why are the player counts so incredibly low?
All time peak is not average monthly players.
Most of the reviews on the storepage is mostly the quiet majority, the ones that don’t even go on the forums
