how to build a base?

I might be an idiot but how I build a base? I cant do it in fabricator, so where?

if i remember correctly you have to find either of the 2 or three bases and then you need to scan the repair tool and the base parts. Search at those beacons (for example delta port).

i found the delta port and one around 300m underwater destroyed. scanned all .. hmm ok so find another one, ok thx

i don't want to spoil the experience for you, there is also another base (i think the name was outpost zero) somwhere north of the spawn point. there you will most likely find every base part you need the entrance is somewhere unter water to the north-east . i played the game a while back, so my experience is not that correct anymore

You need the habitat builder tool, not the repair tool.

from the audiologs it seems like you are supposed to go there first, as it is one of the intro audio logs

You need to build a Habitat Builder first. It's a hand held device that you can assemble in the fabricator when you scan enough parts.

Scanning a room will give you the ability to construct it using the habitat builder, provided you have the right resources at hand.

finally found the problem, i missed to scan "contructor tool" for building bases .. eh.
