Cant cut table coral

Is anyone else experiencing this? I try to cut the table coral but nothing happens so i cant make computer chips.

Get closer to the coral. You have to be right on top of it to slash it.

Does the name pop up when you look at it?, because there is some stuff that looks like coral but it isn't.

Maybe you're cutting the wrong one? Try going to the twisty bridges area. There are a couple there.

Are you sure you are cutting the right coral? You need to find the small red "plates" present on the cliffs when you go below 100 meters. NOT the coral in the starting zone!

Yeah you must be cutting chair coral, big difference

If you are in the floating lilypad biome, much of the table coral is not harvestable because of design glitches that partially buried it in the terrain. That was the case in the Seaworthy update and it may have continued into the V1.0 release.

YES I have the same BUG.
Table Coral Sample is not dropping when I cut Table Coral with Survival Knife.

... and yes I am certain it is the correct coral ...

(you can use console to spawn in table coral samples to get you out of trouble for now)

Same bug here as well. Just finished in Freedom mode and restarted in Survival. Cannot cut any of the table coral in twisty bridges (have not tried elsewhere yet).

Question, are you using the no damage console command? If so, it prevents you from damaging the coral thus renders you unable to gather it. Found this out when I was messing around with commands.

No console commands on my run, cannot speak for OP.

After the 5th full quit and reload from save, I was able to cut the table coral. Hope this helps OP.
