Why am i seeing all this news about subnautica 2 coming out?

Yup, below zero was kinda too big to be a DLC, but too small to be 'subnautica 2'. So it's is own game, but kinda small, but not that small.

Below zero was originally intended to become a DLC.
But during development it became clear that its getting too big for a DLC and so they decided it becoming a stand alone.

So it's basically Subnautica 2, since its set after the first game, and there are also a lot of references and characters to the first game's story in BZ.

Well I read that somewhere that it would release early access next year, I don't really remember where I read it
