Have music outside of base for jukebox
It would be fantastic if you could vibe to music with the jukebox, while exploring the seas.

You can play jukebox music in the SeaTruck if you build a sleeper cab.
I think he means as as alternate soundtrack. He wants it while swimming around, which is a fair enough request.

The standard response applies. The game's done. They're not adding new features. At best we might get some bug fixes but it'd have to be pretty extreme because the devs are quite well aware that when they patch, they break mods and that's a real issue for a "mature" game well outside its development life cycle. Few modders keep up with it, so it'll just tee off a lot of players rather than make them happy.

It is however, a good idea that should be considered for the new game they're working on. In SN/BZ, an ideal way to do it would be to have it be an equippable module that would fit in where the compass and scanner module currently sit. You'd simply choose to equip the music module instead of one of the others. The catch with doing this is that now you have to figure out how to make the UI work in a way that doesn't feel cumbersome or annoying for the player. It's a bit more complicated than it might appear. It's something that can be done if you plan for it. It's much harder to mod it in. So, keep hope alive. Keep talking about it, and perhaps the devs will put it in the next iteration.
So the fish can enjoy the music too
Speakers and headphones don´t work underwater. They may work in a snowfox though.
Reading the OP then looking down, seems I had the exact same idea as Catalytic for the most part. I could see having a choice between the scanner room chip or a music chip, the latter linking to the nearest jukebox. Hell, could even have some upgrade that when fitted to the jukebox, extends its transmission range. Maybe 250m base, 500m extended. Maybe they'll put something like that in the sequel.
Weird, I just play music from a tablet, phone, other computer, tv, radio, bluetooth speakers etc. And get this: You can play any and all music or whatever you desire, don't even have to just listen to the game music over and over again and again. Works in any and all games as well, with no performance issues.

Really don't understand all the requests for in-game music in various games. IRL you listen to audio devices next to you, the music doesn't play inside your head (virtual or otherwise) - Or you can wear headphones/earbuds as you would IRL.
