How much shorter is Zero compared to Subnautica?

So like everyone else i loved Subnautica but i always felt it was a rather short game and i read people saying Zero is even shorter and that has been my reasoning for not getting Zero yet but its on a pretty decent sale atm, so im wondering it its worth it.

I guess it depends how you play. I have multiple playthroughs for both games and over 1000 hrs in each. Since you go at your own pace, you can regulate how long the game is.
If your goal is to "beat" the game and move on, it is probably shorter than the original.

It took me around 64 hours to beat Subnautica for the first time, Below Zero was about 30 hours for the first time.
