Pengling deploy issue on Playstation 5

Can't deploy anymore. Has worked before, but even with creating new ones. I put them in a slot, hit R2 and it makes a fizzle sound then nothing. Can't drop them from inventory to use remote either. only option at that point is to pick them back up. trying to get to the little cave to progress the story and am completely stuck. On inventory shows 100% hull integrity, never used in water etc.

solved it in case anyone else runs into this. need to completely quit and close out game. just quitting and restarting from save does not work, you need to close the whole app inside the playstation menu. then restart from save and now its working again.
