Exterior Growbeds not working - or am i to dumb?

So i got an extrerior growbed and planted gel sacks and these green vines which are used in batteries but the dont seem to multiply. am i doing something wrong or is it bugged?

Also, is there something like a list of growable plants (in- and outdoor)? Wiki only has a full list of plants and i highly doubt that you can fram them all, or am i wrong?

Did you cut the plants for seeds? Are you getting a grown plant after planting the seeds?
When you harvest remember to cut enough to reseed the beds. They do not multiply they only grown one plant then rinse and repeat.

None of the plants proliferate on their own. You have to cut them and replant the seeds.
ribbon plants, gel sacs, creepvine and creepvine seed clusters grow in outdoor beds.
Marblemelon, chinese potatoe, and leafy fruit plant grow indoors.

OH fml! I thought since i plant potatoes and they grow, i can do this with everything else and didnt think about cutting plants to get seeds! Thx guys!

you can grow Marblemelon, Chinese Potatoes and Leafy Fruit in an exterior growbed but the growbed must be above the water
