I guess 5 hours. Because after that it is boring.

If you don’t like it don’t play it
And be a mature person and don’t ruin it for others by constantly complain on the forums

its what you make of it. Some people blew through it in 12 hours. I'm on like hour 100 something and just exploring every possible place there is

Do you mean the storyline? Because that's fairly quick, around 5-10 hours depending on how you play. It's an open sandbox game though after that so that is a tough one to answer.

I don't ruin anything. OP has a question, I have a answer. But for you: in round about 10 hours you can finish the story.

Too be fair, its sad but I agree albeit after 7~ hours. The lack of PDA stories to follow, people messaging in on the radio and a huge gradually deepening map to explore like we saw in the last game makes this really hard to stay interested in.

You spend more time finding where to go with no story in between to keep you going, there isnt much progression by depth in this game, so it becomes progression by finding the 1 tiny gap in the map that goes to the hidden biome that you need to go to next.

Lol I went through the 1st subnautica without caring about the PDAs and radio messages, it was mostly just random guys being like "aaah ocean is dangerous help"

Difficult to say without knowing the rest of the story yet, but I got 26h in and while I am far through the tech tree I am still rather early in the story.

So I guess 25-40 hours depending on how you rush it? But it's a very rough guess as so much of this is variable.

Depends how much you care. There's an entire side story where you find out what's going on with your sister that's literally just a cookie cutter "big corporation evil and do a bad" story, and there's another smaller side story where you do some stuff with Marg. As far as I'm aware though neither of these affect the main AL-AN vessel building story that really gets you to the ending so you can just ignore them, therefore how long it takes to beat depends on whether or not you care about/complete the Alterra story and Marg's quests.

I think Subnautica is one of those games where it's fairly difficult to determine the length of an average playthrough, simply because of how contingent it is on the player. If you're hard-pressed for time or don't enjoy exploration, building and survival elements too-too much, it's around 10-12 hours long, at least as far as I know. But you may very well find yourself putting way, waay over 60-80 hours into a single save if you happen to be a fan of those.

If I may, I'd like to offer you a small bit of advice: the story of Below Zero, while good, is mostly told in a poor manner, especially when put next to it's predecessor. Slow exploration and immersion, however, can offset that lack of thought behind narration to a degree which nearly nullifies it's impact on your enjoyment of the rich, vibrant and brilliantly designed world. And it's interacting with that very world that I think most long-term players enjoy the most. So, both the gametime and, in my humble opinion, your enjoyment of it, are very much dependent on how you personally would like to approach Below Zero. I know it all sounds like a cope-out evasion of a direct answer, but both Subnautica games really are a bit unique in this matter, particularly BZ because of the issues outlined above.
