Where to get diamonds early?
I've tried to get diamonds in the Koppa Mines but that's over 200m depth and my Seatruck starts collapsing at 150m. And its depth mod requires diamonds...

In the original game I remember island caves having plenty of them so it was easy.

Go to the central biome, navigate with the sea truck as far as possible and then use the seaglide to go deeper. There are some diamonds there
Go to the front doors of the koppa mines, seatruck can make it there without a depth mod. You should be able to find a couple of diamonds inside that entrance (check the walls and ceiling, bring a flashlight) to then be able to make the depth mod and come back to the lower entrance you can get the seatruck into.

If you have to, from that entrance a seaglide, rebreather and improved O2 tank can get you down the mine shaft to grab a diamond from the lower level if you can only find one up top. You'll have to be really quick, but it's possible.

ChemicalApes also has a Youtube vid on getting diamonds ~400m deep, that requires rebreather, seaglide and multiple oxygen tanks, but doesn't require having any depth upgrades and will net quite a lot of diamonds.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RlkcbJerO8E
And there's also diamonds ~90 meters, just require getting a little roasted.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pnz020pamu8

Inside the thermal vents around rocket island. They're not even very deep. You can get them very early game with just the seaglide.

Deep down in the Twisty Bridges. Need the seaglide and rebreather. Get past the squidsharks and hug the bottom. Diamonds by smokers.

If you have that thing that Robin's sister was working on, take it behind Delta base. Even if you don't have it, there's another mineral there that's useful in early game.

To be honest with you, once you find a nice deposit (maybe grab like 10 or so) youre not gonna need anymore until youre probably finished getting upgrades for depth and everything.

What this guy said, I just kept collecting them and now I have a large locker full of diamonds and nothing to use them on. Same with rubies and copper. Speaking of anyone else feel that titanium is actually the hardest resource to keep and find? I know you get them from each outcrop and fragments but I can't tell you how many times i went out to find titanium and filled my inv up with lead, copper, and silver. After each hunt I would have more of them than anything else.

I think the easiest is grabbing them from the entrance of the deep twisty bridges. You don't have to go beyond the Squidsharks. There are diamonds on the walls of the gap between twisty bridges and deep twisty bridges. Definitely enough to start with.

Awesome, thanks to everyone of you who replied!

I've managed to score 2 diamonds in the entrance to Koppa Mines and built a single module base. But I'll check out the other places too, "Twisted bridges", "rocket island"...

I create a video guide on getting diamonds in BZ. I hope it helps!

Learn to build bases, come'on. One hatch, one multipurpose room, one bioreactor, one fish, and you can take a breath on any depth. Bases don't need depth mods
