Edit: But yes, that is literally the end of the Sam plot. Yeah. A huge disappointment but at least there is some more to do.
Somehow I forgot about the investigators report, or maybe didn't read it properly.
Now I get it, thank you! Marguerit told her to blow up the cave and she killed herself while trying to do it. That's apparently all there is to it
So Sam says she has the cure and wants to apply it, but I don't even see anything about her actually having tried it. It's unclear from that PDA entry why they felt they needed to blow up the cave.
She seems to have gone straight from synthesising it, to hiding it and then blowing up the cave, without actually attempting to use the cure.
Am I overthinking this?
All in all, she didnt want to die. She wanted to destroy the leviathan and the samples taken from it but it backfired and she accomplished nothing. Well, she accomplished death. So it isnt really nothing.
No, it's just plain bad writing. Stop looking for excuses for them.
Oh, thank you for the spoiler about the Al-An ending in a thread about the Sam storyline
Yeah, I wasn't expecting spoilers for a part of the game unrelated to the topic of the thread. Maybe I needed to make that clearer...
