Nothing added in Below Zero has been ported back to Subnautica. Not even the ability to *rotate* the Moonpool, something that was requested all throughout Subnautica's EA period.
Thanks. :)
Having just a few modules is perfectly enough.
As I previously said, I tend to go full ♥♥♥♥♥♥ on the base building aspect of the game. ^^
What I do is merely useless, but it's very joyful for me to create such nice building complexes.
Gotta love these games for that. :D
And yeah, I would wish to have these new parts in original Subnautica too.
It was said that they update the original's stable branch shortly after the release of BZ.
So we can still hope about an addition, but I guess only the "Quality of Life"-stuff will be added (like proper battery charge being visible, etc.).
Yes, but then again it was officially stated that there will be a big update on the stable branch, including some of Below Zero's additions.
Yet I am pretty sure they just mean the QoL-stuff. :/
The snowfox pad doesn't need solar panels. Its a standalone unit so there must be a built in power source.
That's perfectly true.
Sorry if I spread confusion about this in my video, as I simply like that one energy beam that leads to the Snowfox Pad. :(
I even did the same on my Grand Hotel and it's completely unnecessary. XD
Just did it for the looks. ^^
There's also other threads addressing this issue but base building is arguably the same as it was in the first game baring a few new decor items. If you've experiment in base building Subnautica there's really no reason to do it all over again here other then to try the new furniture items.
Do hatches spawn stairs there too?
Yes, but they can be buggy sometimes and disappear.
The original SN doesn't add stairs to landbases at all. That's one of the nice improvements of this one.
Sure, but so long as you could reach the hatch it didn't matter. I usually put a platform just below to make up for that, as well as to have a flat spot for grow beds.
Thanks for confirming.
@wardenwolf
Well, I agree with the stairs being buggy in BZ, as I sometimes see some spawned at an underwater hatch, but these disappear upon reload.
The land stairs have their issues from time to time, but it indeed is a nice addition. :D
