Apparently Squidshark eggs are the most valuable...
There are just 2 Squidshark eggs in the game.
So when it comes to eggs these are even more precious than the Trivalve eggs.
As they have 6 (2 golden and 4 blue ones though).

The only big advantage is that these two Squidsharks are able to lay more eggs if put together in one alien compartment.

So you can still breed an infinite amount of Squidsharks, while the Trivalve's do not breed.

Is there even anything useful I can do with the newly bred alien?

You can populate areas with somewhat "friendly" wildlife.

Even though normally agressive fauna attacks vehicles, they shouldn't attack the player.

But aside of that, not really.
Well you can use them as bait. Like breeding some annoyingly screaming Cryptosuchus and release them in the void so they get eaten by the Void Cheli's. XD

Ah. There goes my idea of an army of brute sharks to kill Leviatans.

I haven't tried it in game yet... But in the original SUB you could breed sharks etc in a containment unit and use them in the eggs or sharks in a bio reactor... handy replenishing power source.

Have to ask, but where did you find these two Squid Shark eggs?

It's at the bottom of the Deep Lilypads Caves, there's a small cave in one of the walls that leads to a small nest that has the two eggs.

"bottom of the Deep Lilypad Caves". Are you meaning the area with the giant white jelly trees?

Yes.
You also find the 2 golden Trivalve eggs there, but not at the same place as the Squidshark eggs.
There are a few different ways to go. Just look around down there and you'll eventually find them. :)

These are pretty obvious blue eggs, with 2 tentacles. oO

Ah yes. That is actually somewhat viable. But I think if bred aliens wouldn't attack vehicles one could even use them decoratively. Naming them then would be boss too.

I have a blue and gold Trivalve from the cave in the Ice Worm area. Didn't know about those you mentioned. Thanks. I'll go find them. Did you find the Eye Jelly egg yet? Came across it by accident the last time I was in exploring.

I haven't tried that in original Subnautica but here they do.
They just don't attack the player.

One of the Squidsharks deep in the Twisty Bridges got stuck outside of the map and always attacks my player through the wall when being too close to where he clipped through. XD

Was thinking about bringing some Squidsharks down there, so it doesn't feel that empty as of the missing one. ^^

@Phaota
I've found all available eggs, as I wanted to include the proper egg names into my savegame.
Initially all creature eggs are simply named "Creature Egg", but as soon as you hatched an egg the egg gets the name of the respective creature.

Well other than biofuel, there is not much else, but if you have a mod, you can convert the squidsharks you have gotten from the alien containment chamber (After breeding ofc since only 2 exists in the entire map) and get Kyanite

Heck yes! Infinite renewable power! You breed them, then you put them in the bioreactor.
