Seatruck Storage question
Hi there,

I've tried to start a new game twice in the last few months but outside of finding my starting pod, I've never been able to go past that area to anywhere new so I've never been able to build the Seatruck. Kept hearing of people receiving beacons and comms but for me it's always been deathly silent.

In the first Subnautica, I was able to build a very nice layout with storage closets but apparently the Seatruck doesn't allow this and just has a small storage module.

I've read about someone saying they "compress" their resources into something and then recycle it back at base but is this really feasible? I used to have hours of fun mining in my prawn suit, collecting tons of resources which I then used to build a very respectable base and now it sounds like you're going to be severely hampered in BZ?

I've really been hoping that there's still something to come in terms of a large volume storage but it's sounding less and less likely to ever happen.

Any info about this would be great as I'm currently holding off starting a new game till it releases (which I'm hoping isn't too far in the future).

Thanks!

You said you were never able to go bast the starting pod point.

Why is that? What is stopping you?

You have the same storage options as in Subnautica except for the cyclops.

I'm not seeing what your problem is..
Is it the lack of storage on the basic Sea Truck?
The Storage Module is too small? (you can always add more)
Are you talking about the Cyclops and being able to build storage inside?

I just played this game from start to currently what is the "end" of the game and I never had any real problems with storage space except within my base forcing me to build more containers.

For the vast majority of the playthrough I used the Sea Truck without any modules added on at all.
The only module I built which was right near the end of the playthrough was the module that lets me carry a Prawn around and even that ended up being pretty useless in the end since I never "needed" to use the Prawn and only did so because I felt like it.

With Sea Monkey's being able to bring you a huge range of materials too including rare ones like Nickel, Lithium, Silver and Diamond I never needed to go far when resource gathering.
I built near a large pile of fragments, quartz and mineral outcrops as well as a Sea Monkey cave that was full of minerals (and crash fish) so there was an abundance of Quartz, Titanium, Silver, Gold, Lead etc pretty much everything I needed for most things.

Nickel, Ruby's and later Kyanite were pretty much the only resource I had to go hunting for and they were very easy to get in the end.

I couldn't find everything needed to go "far", I managed to eventually build the seamoth I think but never was able to get a battery charger together which meant that was m00t for the most part.

I'm a very seasoned Subnautica player so it's not from a lack of trying.

In Subnautica I was able to build an abundance of containers. I think maybe you guys just don't have the same base building enjoyment as I did in Subnautica because I needed ENORMOUS amounts of resources to keep building my base. I guess we're mostly speaking past each other so no worries then.

If you don't think I have the same base building enjoyment as you do my sir, I kindly invite you to investigate my profile and Screenshot page to get a glimpse of s o m e of my bases and projects. I enjoy base building.

We don't get what your storage problem is.

You can build Wall Lockers and Standing Lockers. You can build floating Water Lockers. The game even introduces floating/hovering Quantum Lockers. The Sea Truck Storage Modules now have more storage capacity than they've ever had before.

There's so many Oxygen plants in key areas you need them.

There are new Alterra tech site debris like Crates, Cabling, Lightsticks, and Floodlamps to help guide player interest and attention towards goals.

Sea Glider+Two Oxygen Tanks+Swim Fins and you can beat the game. Grab a Habitat Builder and slap a compartment down to fill with Standing Lockers.

We don't understand your problem.
