yeah this new mutation may be larger and more scary looking, but based on the numbers on the wiki it looks weaker than its siblings in the play space.

While yes, The Void Chelicerate does deal 15 damage to the Seatruck, They attack a lot more, their AI is much better than the normal chelicerates, and 3 spawn in the same location as you.

Normal Chelicerate grapples a Prawn/Seatruck and deals its damage over time then lets you go. While 1 in grabbing you and doing its thing, you can't be attacked by another.

The Void Chelicerate are so big they just CHOMP. And there's no cooldown. That 15 damage PILES up and stacks QUICKLY with 3 Mad Angry Shrimp Bois rapid firing the DPS. Even with a reinforced dive suit Robin can only take three bites. And I have exited my base in Deep Sigma 6 before and died in less [h]than one second[/h]

So they have the capacity to shred your Seatruck. You can try and see for yourself! Or look at videos of other people doing it to save yourself the heart ache (And fun)

They're still terrifying tho. I went out into the void with nothing but a Seaglide to check on them because I saw they were added, and I went out into the void on the surface and just looked down. I assumed I would see them or they would make any noise but one of them just silently bumped into me from the side and it jumpscared me so bad I ALT+F4'd the game

I've named one of them so far. One of them is Steve. Steve is shy. But he wants you dead just the same as the others.
