You also said you run out at night in particular, do you have any solar panels?
Essentially, low temperature thermal generators wont produce much power and your base may be using more then they can produce.
In the first Subnautica four thermal gens at 60+ temp would produce more then enough power for me.
I would suggest building a command room and looking at your power generation vs consumption there.
Thermal Plants says they are at Max Capacity but its not giving power to my base during the night time?
Shouldnt their Capacity would be constant 0 if its always supplying power to my base though?
And my Base says Max Power Capacity is 300 and thats from 4 of my Solar Panels
I would know for sure if 2 wasnt enough if their capacity is never fully due to outcome but that doesnt seem to be the case
You said you have the thermals on a foundation? and you have power transmitters running from that foundation to your base right?
Have you tried disassembling some transmitters and rebuilding them?
Can you post a screenshot of the connection to your base and the thermal foundation?
Are you on standard or experimental?
I have 4 thermals connected and they work fine, all though mine are low temp as well so they produce power quite slowly.
They are the superior power source.
Just cut some of those plants the seamonkeys play around in for about 20 minutes get a nice few lockers full and check in on them every time you return to base.
No having to run the gauntlet of setting up a power line or being constantly harassed by snappy bois while building the thermal reactor.
They work in the day, they work at night. All you need is a bit of extra space for them.
Bioreactors lads, they're the future.
That said would be neat if there was some kind of tidal energy power that could be used too. Would be thematic as well.
The "AI Marine turbine" mod for Subnautica could possibly be ported over.
I thought it only works on Foundations so I put an Extender on the base itself but it still doesnt seem to work
and im playing on Survival mode
So Only one Foundation should be present for the Extended Power Source to work?
Makes the sea bed ugly now if I put them on the geysers
