Unobtainable Diamonds
https://prnt.sc/qgo9e8

On the islands with the communication tower I noticed there was a group of about 6 diamonds in a little corner. I'd tired using a grav trap to get them but they still out of reach. How do you get these diamonds?

You will get a item that can be used to retrieve them. Can be used for getting into small places and a couple of other things you will need only it can get safely. ;)

Update: I actually managed to get one diamond using the grav trap! But I also got myself stuck in a wall! I think it might be a good idea to add somekind of note or something there so people like me don't clip into walls trying to bash our way in XD

That's the part where you save before trying something ridiculous and reload when you break the game. The way people always used to before the constant demand for hand-holding became the rampant epidemic it is today.

What I find funny is as soon as I gave up, I realized there is actually plenty of diamonds in the ravines that are around the island in question.. So it makes me wonder why these handful of diamonds are setup to be so hard to get?

lol apparently proper streamlined gameplay is called handholding.

Put a note here! Give me a tutorial! Tell me this, tell me that! What the hell happened to: here's the controls, go play, come back when you're out of lives?

Yeah. Hand-holding. Proper streamlined gameplay is a result of not trying to muck around with things what clearly don't work. Like using a grav trap to try to snatch items through terrain. Not that I intend to argue this point with you. Both our minds are clearly made up.

I always find some players like you who just want to have the maximum difficulty possible and will sneer at anyone who says otherwise.

As if it's a binary choice.
You can have both hardcore gameplay and tutorials guys. It's not all or nothing.

Making up debates where none exist, typical elitists.
