Is the water filtration machine broken in Below Zero?
Reading the description it should be MUCH faster than it is, producing water and salt from the outside water.

- Mine seems to take well over an hour of real time to produce one water and it never shows the salt available even though it says it is a 100%.

- Also, the instructions say that a water purification tablet + a snowball placed in the machine should produce water. But it does not let me put either in.

Is it broken or am I using it wrong? If the second, how do you use it right?

Snowball plus water purification is done in your inventory on the spot. Just drag one to the other and you get a 30 ml bottle of water.

For the machine, what are you using for power? if its solar cells, they shut down at night and the purifier will not be working.

I just checked in creative mode and they were producing salt. They're also supposed to produce water at a lower rate and no salt if built above sea level if I remember correctly.

Aha! That might explain it although I have no idea why anyone would design it that way.

My base is 70% below the water level and 30% above. The machine might be interpreting it as being above water.

The filtration machine definitely uses seawater, I am not sure it will produce anything when out of water.

Also make sure to remove the salt, it seems to stop the water it it has two salt already.
