No Wall Locker in Experimental?
Hey all, I started a new game today with the experimental build. I played for about 3 hours, unlocked the fabricator, explored the rocket island, built a small base, got the Sea Truck recipes etc.

BUT... I don't seem to have the blueprint to actual build wall lockers? This is somewhat problematic as I've completely ran out of storage space. Is this intentional? Have I missed an obvious place where this blueprint should be? I always felt like this was supposed to be a default blueprint once you got the fabricator?

You have to find it. It's around Twisty Bridges.

There are the Freestanding Lockers, which personally I prefer and always build and because I prefer to build those I am not 100% sure but I think I have the blueprint for the Wall Lockers but again I could be mistaken.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

That's what I meant when I said that the start of the game was less easy! They have changed the snow stalkers too...

Thanks Ignis, found it, not sure I think this is a good change, feels like an important recipe that should maybe be easier to find?

You still have the water lockers, not as convenient but they still exist at the start

Yeah, is more when you set about building your base, the one thing you kinda expect to have access to is the wall locker. I hope as they refine the game that they have some storyline element that drives you towards finding the wall locker.

Right now I feel like the Rocket Base has too many items at it, should maybe put some of the items in the crashed ship parts instead, to help spread it out and make discovering the crashed ship parts more rewarding :-)

I'm still weary of water lockers after the bugs in the original game where they would sometimes float off!

Oh geez I remember that, lost all my titanium in early game to that bug.

Still though, lockers are a pretty basic thing. I don't know if it's the same in experimental, but you need to scan 2 of the glass lockers to unlock the blueprint. It's not even like they're damaged or anything, you just need two. The "ingredients unknown" feels like a slap in the face at this point.

Edit: New update and the standing locker still needs to be scanned twice. Glass corridors are in by default now, but windows are not. Why?

When I did my first real play through on Experimental, I went directly to the base that I overflew on the way down. A bit disappointing that there was nothing to scan there. I am sure that is one thing to be refined.

I agree that lockers should be a basic item that you get with the builder.

+1
I can't find the blueprint for lockers. So i've basically built 21 small water lockers. And now that I've constructed my base, I have to move all this army of small lockers... <sigh>

Finally found the blueprint. What a relief!

I thought this was weird as well. Specially when the fishtank and the bioreactor are now deffaultly unlocked which feel ~personally~ should be mid-game tech. I also solved it with the waterboxes and glad that I found it pretty quick.

You can find it in the twisty bridges area. There is a corridor section by a data box.
