do Cryptosuchus respawn?
Everytime I go through the thermal spires these things are literally everywhere and being massive annoyances, I want to commit genocide on them but i'm not sure if that's a pointless goal, I know the rock crabs don't respawn but i've never tried to kill actual hostile fish that can swim.

Edit: and if u know of a better way to kill them then to just ram them with my seatruck please share :)

You only have to hit them twice. I don't think it can get much easier.

But, yes, I'll say it again: Please reduce the number and aggressiveness of small predators. Subnautica was a delightfully peaceful game that required almost no violence. But in BZ the predators are so prevalent and annoying that I feel compelled to go on a rampage just so I can explore without being attacked every two seconds.

there's a multipliers in the settings that makes them more or less aggressive, you can set it lower so their behavior is more realistic to earth creatures. if sharks were that violent they would be extinct by now

You bumped a 3 year-old topic to post incorrect information.

For clarity, no, they do not re-spawn. None of the medium or large-sized fauna in this game re-spawn after they have been killed.
admiral is correct, all non-consummable fauna do not respawn, even small ones like Symbiotes. Bladderfish, Boomerangs, Hoopfish, etc are the only fish that do so, so hatching creatures in alien containments is the only way to increase larger creatures numbers. I do believe crashfish are an exception to this. They will respawn as long as their sulfur plant remains intact.
