Ion Cube recharge?

i noticed in this latest update that there is a charge meter on the ion cubes now. if it's rechargeable, how do i go about doing that?

I think it is a programming error.
They recently fixed the water purification tablets that had the same issue. They had a meter and said they were rotten when you can't eat them anyway. I would ignore the charge bar for now.

In the case of the water purification tablet, it has the eatable component by mistake. Removing it solved this.

In the same way, the ion crystal has the battery component attached. The reason for this is, is to be able to replace it in the tether tool (teleportation tool for the Seatruck teleportation module), to have the battery menu.

I'll make a ticket anyway. Thanks for the report.

I haven't found a proper way of recharging them. what you can do is:

Use an empty or near empty cube to craft an ion cell or ion powercell, and then recycle it. You will get a full cube back =)

I think it's not a bug, but story related. In story pda blabla, they say it can countains an enormous amount of energy. I just think this is the way to say "yeah there is your humanity information inside but you cant properly use it in that form, but you can FEEL THEIR VIBE"

There is one device that uses ion cubes instead of batteries. One ion cube is 3 time usage of the device. So the charge bar is justified.

I could see this being a bug. Played for five minutes until I realized the icon for LT and RT was reversed in all in game tips, I guess two years of EA can’t catch everything

The only way for cubes to lose power is by using the tether tool (3 uses). Before it runs out you can recycle it, turn it into an ion battery and then recycle that. You're left with a 100% ion cube again.

That was brought to their attention since first day of EA.... Weirdest of all: it changes from session to session (= starting the game)...

also you can recharge your ioncube crafting a battery with one 1/3 charge so recycle it in the recycle bin and de ion cube will return full charge.
