Table Coaral Sample Vanishing Bug?
Hey guys so im a subnautica vet. But i noticed something strange with the table coral samples in below zero. So i built a base, i built some lockers, and I stored some table coral samples in one. I had about two rows full of table coral samples. I went back only an hour later to get some for crafting and every single piece of coral sample was gone! And this isnt the first time this happned. so i thought maybe it was the locker i was using that was bugged causing my table coarls to go missing so i switched the remaining two i had in my inventory to another locker i had built. and lo and behold 30 minutes later when i went back to the locker my coral samples were gone again!

So my question is this. Is the disappearing table coral samples a bug or do they now rot and i just didnt notice? I would have to assume this is a bug because i never recall table coral samples just vanishing in subnautica so why would that be a thing in below zero? And you wouldnt think the devs would make rotting of crafting items as a thing because its a lot harder to find table coral in below zero where as in subnautica you could find it all over.

Can anyone else confirm this as a bug?

Yes. I've had table coral disappear several times. IIRC, they've disappeared out the locker and out of my pack. Also, I've had a number of table coral break with the knife but then the pieces can't be picked up. Several times, oddly enough, the pieces have seemed to stick to my hands but eventually disappear swimming back to base. Odd behavior all around.

Its not good that it vanishes but since the update i cant even mine it... I use the knife and nothing it still stays firmly attached to the wall, if i use the grav gun it comes away but i still cant mine it...
So its useless. Its annoying when they make a patch then upload it and half of it dont even work.
Bladderfish also vanished.. so you cant make water, you have to keep eating eyes they give you 10 water when cooked. :steamsad:

Maybe the coral is eating itself like how the baby penguins ate themselves

I also have all these issues with coral. Luckily, I managed to build a seatruck before the bugs began. :P

I've found it vanishes from lockers when you reload an area (by swimming away and coming back), and from lockers and inventory when you save/quit/load.

For this reason, I usually build my computer chips ahead of time.

It doesn't save properly for sure. I put some in a waterproof locker earlier, and the coral piece models showed up attached to the locker, started falling, and took the locker with them.

Workaround for me once I encounter no pickup or Houdini coral is to go to the coral you want to harvest, save, exit the program, restart & load, should collect fine, then use it ASAP. It's not fun, but it gets it done.
