See store page - Says nothing about it being DLC or not. So again, I ask, Is it DLC or no?

Answers are great. Sarcasm and useless answers? Not so much. But hey, free country to be a troll if you want.

It is not DLC, it does not require Subnautica to play. It's going to be the sucessor to Subnautica, the next chapter for the planet. A very similar game, but a new experience.

Here, I'll be immensely helpful... Does it say "This content requires the base game 'Subnautica' on Steam in order to play." like every other DLC on the site?

Using the search bar is great too since the question gets asked a dozen times per day by others incapable of finding basic information online on their own.

Google also answers your question instantly without burdening others plus you also avoid all the "sarcasm and useless answers" thing.

Here let me help you - Does it say Subnautica 2 anywhere on the page? And not every other DLC on the site says DLC. Search bars are great too, yet when I typed DLC in the search bar, only answers that showed up were sarcastic pricks. Hmm I WONDER why that could be.

Also, usually when games like this are made, it would say "Stand-alone" or have notation of some sort on the page.

So thank you for the answer, and next time lets dispense with the drama. Not everyones "common sense" is the same.

It's a standalone sequel that will be its own full game when it's complete.

it is a standalone game that acts as an expansion to the story of the base game. please cool it with the attitude

Wow, the Subnautica community has really gone downhill. You guys are acting like actual cancer.

??? Did you ask me to cool it with the attitude? I'm sorry, but I didn't do (nor did I say) anything that has attitude. Just asked a question, then explained how all of us have differing views of common sense. If you were talking about the other guy, hes just short tempered with people he feels don't put in the effort to look for things themselves and perhaps didn't realize that there was another way of looking at things ;P Either way, the question is answered and were all good here! Ty!

Here, Let me help you. Is it tagged as DLC requiring a game to run?

No? Then its not dlc.

Doesnt amtter if it says Below Zero or 2.
Thrice Feb 2, 2019 @ 10:02am
Hey look! More smart ass remarks after the problem is already solved! Trolls confirmed :) Ty for that.

Also, next time, maybe answering the question would take less energy than being a smart ass :) But to each their own. Also, you are telling me DLC's aren't considered games? I beg to differ. I just looked at 3 different DLCs that are all "games" on the Store page. (All of Ark Survivals different DLCs just to name some).

As for the other post, it was honestly easier for me to ask than to waste my time searching when you were willing to waste yours searching for me. Thanks Agarillobob. Ill keep asking when its easier to waste your time. Maybe devs could post these as stickies so less people ask the question hmm?

Also, it does matter if it says 2 or Below Zero. You are more than welcome to your opinion, its no more valid than mine. Like I said, Ill ask anyway, even if it annoys you. I get my answer either way. And thanks for ignoring the fact that most other games out there that are stand alone to their main franchise have "stand alone" noted on them. But thats ok, ignore the facts that are inconvienent to you.

DLC content clearly states that it needs [base game] to run.
SN:BZ does not, therefore it is not DLC.

Appreciated! Thanks for not being like these other posters! A simple answer - took 2 seconds of your time, and you aren't drawn into an arguement over whos "common sense" is right.

Ofc if you think the question is stupid, you could always... I dunno... Not answer? (talking to the other posters)
