Game won't launch
As said above, the game won't start when trying to launch it via Steam or the .exe in the game folder. When I try to launch the game from Steam the notorious "prepare to launch" window pops up for a second and then closes without further notice. Using the .exe results in a small Subnautica pop up showing for a split second (cant't quite see what it is) and then closes. I tried verifying the game files multiple times, re-installed the game about 3 times and using the experimental version didn't brought a difference either.

I also went through the troubleshooting thingy.

Right now I have no Idea what to do, except for hoping things will get better with the next update.
Does anybody have similar problems or even a solution for this?

System Specs:
AMD Ryzen 7 2700x
RTX 2080ti (Driver 418.81)
16 Gigs of RAM
All Drivers are up to date

Same here. I went for experimental after enjoying the default version and BAM, no start.

Win - 7 64 bit
Intel i5 3570K @ 3.40
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660
Ram 12 GB
Solid state hard drive

EDIT 1: I returned to the default version and all is well again. Sad, no experimental for me :(

Edit 2: Just on a whim I switched back to experimental and it worked fine. I changed nothing. It just ran. Very happy am I!

Also had problems by the start. If the following has tried out then and it has functioned.
Go to the folder SBZ . Right-click on the "SBZ.exe" to view the contextual menu. Then, click or tap on Properties . In the Properties window, go to the Compatibility tab. At the bottom of the window, check the box that says "Run this program as an administrator" and then click or tap on Apply or OK.
Now start SBZ over Steam.

Go to the properties of the game, set launch options and try:

-force-opengl

Worked for me

The game launches for me but all structures are invisible.

Same boat. Won't launch except with -force-opengl set in launch options. Running RX 480 with 8 GB mem, DX3D 12 supported, drivers 19.1.1. All troubleshooting steps run through...

umm. I had my own share of trouble with the game, but maybe give it a try to lower graphics and/or check heat in your hardware as well/ check for dust - as graphic cards lower performance in order to lower temperature. This is a common reason for trouble - and it's summer right now. Maybe this already helps.
At least, it helped me: After update, i wouldnt get further than fully loading a new game, until game crashed.

I had a problem like this. I had to uninstall a file called MonoBleedingEdge for it to work. Try that?

I had same problem and i found a solution, just delete lib_burst_generated.dll in: Steam\SteamApps\common\SubnauticaZero\SubnauticaZero_Data\Plugins\x86_64

I'm closing this thread. There is a pinned fix already in the main forum.
