"Walking is so last year. Upgrade your movement for faster navigation across stretches of land with the Snowfox. Fully customizable and upgradeable, the Snowfox takes land movement from slow to go. Optional speed boost for an extra kick and Alterra standard-issue light included."
So, why come here and complain about a non-issue that it "still doesn't work on water"? It was never intended to. And, now you're co-oping your misinformation by saying a lot of other people want it to work on water too. No, most of us realized what its purpose was, even if you did not.

I modded the snowfox to work on the water, just because why not. And believe me it was't as fun as you think it is.
The inability to work on the water is intended. You have in the code something exclusively put there so that it doesn't work on the water.
It's also very easy to mod, so you'll have one public mod at some point I have no doubt about it.
Yes, you're right of course. It's exactly the same reason that helicopters can't fly over water...

Well IMHO this game is fun. Since the Alterra is so money grabbing they would by no means supply a vehicle that would be unnecessary and fun. Since this game is story based a water toy would not be necessary. Plus I do not want to have to pay Alterra for an expensive toy. They would probably charge me for wasting my time playing and not doing my job. I already owe them a fortune!! ;)
I understand you want to goof off and have fun. But I also enjoy the uniqueness of both Subinautica games. They have a lore which you learn through a story. I personally enjoy this uniqueness in a game.
No zombies, no having to kill everything that moves, no threat to your life. Play explore the beautiful surrounding and follow where the story takes you. I get enough of the "Fun" in many other games. GTA has so much you could just sandbox and play forever. As an example, along with so many other games. If all games start being the same with just a different atmosphere, what would make this game so unique or any other for that matter?
Trying to change a game to be like other games just takes away from the game and it's uniqueness. There are many games I do not buy for this reason. Same game play just a different cover. :(
Just my humble opinion. No need to attack me for it. Have a great weekend.
you did not anwser my question. I asked you why it would bother you if some people would get this extra bit of fun...
having the snowfox work on water would in no way ruin the games lore, uniqueness or your fun
why would you say alterra is money grabbing? humans claiming territory is age old. that is not being cheap
you just dont have an anwser to my question. Also i did not attack you
Honestly you should stop using...
If you listen to the dialogue and read the PDA's you will see and hear that Alterra is uncaring of their employees (as can not get approval for items to be sent down to you, having to get old left overs already around) They are more worried about you doing your job not the condition you are in. As the same was a fact in the first game lore as well charging you for everthing you made and gathered. Following the story is a large part in understanding this game and why some things the way they are.
As for answering your question. I do not see having the snow fox work on water adding to the story game play. As I said they would just charge you extra for goofing off on company time. ;)
The remark of attacks was not directed at you specifically. It was made in the sense of, this is just my honest opinion, which lately can and will get you attacked for. Though I did not mean it for you but you just had to leave with the "Honestly you should stop using..." remark. For what purpose? Can we not just honestly have a discussion on a subject and agree to disagree?
I have no ill will against those who want to change the game from what it is to what they want. I just have my opinion as to why I like this game as is and would like the developer to stay their course so we can see what their vision is of this game. Since it is early access so much more is to come.
PS I have no doubt the modders will add all you need for reckless abandon (fun) to this game as they did for the first one.
Also results are to be expected if you invest serious amounts of money. You have no proof that Alterra is cheap. Alterra is shown to be money oriented and wouldnt blink an eye if someone gets hurt for that.
that is not being cheap. That is being cold and greedy. gee...
LOL I was going through my PDA and have you read the Blueprint License on it? It is in the work doc's. Robin is not supposed to have any vehicles and only the basic building, they will be docked from our pay.
Geez another game where I will be owing the company trilloins! ;)
Not sure if we finally got to land in the first game! Probably indentured servents for life with that the billions I owed. ;)
Lol its Original version was definitely designed to go on water as one of the first pictures we were shown for the snowfox was the snowfox on hovering over water. So before you blame this confused man or woman that they are spreading false information please check that yours is correct aswell. I apoligize for any grammatical errors as english is not my first language.
