Anyone find a purpose for this yet? I found a small cave with a couple resources past the radio tower to send this into, but I haven't found any other small caves or rooms that I couldn't access.

It's mostly for observing the snowstalker without being attacked.

There's a few more places already in - the developers have labeled them test areas. I suspect the real purpose has yet to be revealed.

That "spy thing" is useless for now! ... Why useless coz if is to fit in holes to get ore which can be found everywhere then not much of a point using it since you find ore faster than having to remote control a "spy" ... on other hand is only useful to get hair from the four legged "friends"... hair which might be applicable sometime in the future...

Uh, hello! You can use the Spy Pengling in several low access areas that I've already found. Plus you can blow it up. I enjoy using it!

i could visit one of 5 places, couldnt access the others, cuz the penglin wont reconect with the remote ... sadly i found more then only 1 tiniy spaces... to explore with the penguin

I never get it to not fall apart. so what is happening, i have to put it IN water but i can't use it in water,

Spy penglings are supposed to be used on land only, not in water.

yeah i figured out how to place, apparently i cannot place them while looking down.

It is used on land and there is now a significant story arc associated with using the spy penguin.
