Bioreactor
Hey guys. What is the most efficient fuel for the bioreactor? In subnautica I just planted and farmed gelsacks outside my base, but you can't do that yet. So other than swimming around and fishing, how do you guys power your bases?

Plant creepvine in the alien containment facility and harvest it with a knife to power the base. None of the plants currently produce much power, so you'll have trouble running the bioreactor no matter what you use, but it will provide enough power to run a few devices for a decent amount of time.

I mostly use Nootfish(which are pretty decent) and Peepers(which are not so great). I use a large room with a triple decker alien containment of peepers for my food and just throw a few fish into the reactor every now and then, with a respawning supply of nootfish outside my base. I have bioreactors on either side of the containment.

However i feel like they dont work in unison very well.

I planted creepvines as Morsee suggested but for some reason they wont grow above 50% and cant be harvested

Answer in your other thread. Build a second multipurpose room on top of the one you have and build another containment in it.

1.it won't accept seamonkey eggs.
2.The gelsacks grow inside the alien containment, so I'm going with that for now. It grows pretty quick. Thanks guys
