Game is a mess
I got this game cuz I saw it was on sale and remembered watching someone do a letsplay, but literally the first thing it hits me with upon actually booting up the game is that I have a corrupt save, despite having never gotten the game before.
And as if that weren't bad enough, once I got past the amps tutorial, I'm just flipping through the menus. And the literal second I click on save/load, the game freezes and closes on me.

This isn't to do with with you or any cob-webs in the system, it's just an odd bug that exists where a base save-file came with the install, that is the corrupted save.
The error msg on open has no affect on the game itself, you can just 'Cancel' and be on your merry way.

By chance, did you try and save over the 'Corrupted Save' one? If so... yeah that'll happen, my assumption is it's the same save that the opening error complains about & it's somehow load-bearing (or just causes issues when trying to overwrite the data which makes sense).
Just try and save onto any of the other slots (or let auto-save run its course) and you'll be good to go.

I would say "devs should fix!" but this is a port of a 2014 game, which got released on steam Nov 2018, & had only what looks like a dev or 2 on support for just a little (judging by comments & news in the community space), so the likelihood of any support is little-to-none.
But it's still a pretty fun game, so if you can work around the odd opening error, it holds up pretty fine (as far as I've gone atleast, and I've basically 100%'d it).

I didn't get the CHANCE to save. It was the literal second I even went into the tab it crashed.
