PS Online Gameplay consume little to none of an internet data cap.
The game will not start in offline mode, I made a video to prove it, just uploading it now.

Yeah.... I can confirm, if you try to launch it while offline, then it won't load. You can click 'play game' when it tells you you're offline, but then nothing happens (like happened in your video). What gives? It seems to be a bug more than something intentional...? Ideas?
My first thought was it was DRM related, but I can't find anything about what DRM or even if this game uses any DRM.
Just for the sake of clarity, it seems you need to be online to run it, but while you are playing it, if you get disconnected, you can still play it, so it's not technically an "always online" game.
Seems Steam cloud may be the culprit.
Sorry if i'm thick, but this only means that it may run fine once you launch it when online? But what if you're offline in the first place, before launching it? Then it's still problematic I think.
