Could be your anti-virus program? Idk. I'm on Win 10 and it wouldn't even boot. I added SunsetOverdrive's folder to my Exceptions list in my anti-virus and it booted fine afterwards.

Crashes for me too on new game. I have AMD Phenom II X6 1055t. I guess the game wont support Phenom processors. I will wait few days and see if there will be any patch that fixes this issue before refunding.

I have the very same issue. I also thought this would be a Win7 issue. So I downloaded all Windows Updates. That didnt change anything. I also tried compatibility, running as admin, etc... so far couldnt find a fix :(

Judging by the fact that we all have Phenom CPU's, I'm pretty sure this is an SSE issue. Phenom II doesn't support the newer SSE 4.1 or 4.2 instruction set. Developers almost NEVER patch in support for this, so your best bet is to just refund the game before it's too late.

It still bothers me that this information is nowhere to be found before you purchase the product.

Also, inb4 the torrent of "you're using a 10 year old cpu? wtf scrub? buy a new computer you noob filth"

So I wrote them an Email asking for a fix. I would suggest you do the same so they get aware of the problem!

same as me dude, I think we're screwed until we update our CPUs

Well, update news say:

"Game Issues on Thuban CPUs: The game does not work with AMD Thuban based Phenom II CPUs (eg. Phenom II X6 1100T). Unfortunately there is no workaround for this issue, as these simply do not have the CPU features that the game requires."

Same thing with resident Evil 7 at launch, and capcom patched it so phenom IIx4 and x6 owners could play it.

But I'm a noob filth with a phenom IIx6 that can max out graphics on the remaining 99% of games I've tried at 720p. I sit 15 feet from the 55" plasma screen. They ought to patch this like capcom was smart enough to.
