Game won't launch. Help

I just downloaded it. Press play. Says it's running. Stops. Syncs. Nothing. It didn't even do the first time setup for some reason. Tried uninstalling and redownloading it to another hard drive. Verified game files. Cleared download cache. Nothing. Please help.

just fixed it on mine, the anti virus is blocking it ( im using bit defender) , need to add sunset overdrive as an exception

I'm not using bit defender and it still won't launch

If you're using avast you gotta add it to the exclusions.

I have a solution if you are using Bitdefender Total Security 2019 specifically. Turns out that, yes, the Antivirus software was blocking the game from launching, so you have to add the Sunset Overdrive .exe as an exception under "Advanced Threat Defence."

1. Open Bitdefender
2. Click on Protection
3. Under Advanced Threat Defence, click Settings.
4. Click Add applications to exceptions.
5. Navigate to where you downloaded Sunset Overdrive and add it.

The game now launches for me. This was weird because Bitdefender Total Security 2018 would alert me that a game was being blocked and it would ask me if I wanted to unblock it, but BD 2019 did not do that.

open AVG, top right is menu, go through to settings, then about middle of the drop downs you have a spot for exceptions.

Same... hoped for an update, nothing happend - refund now.... byebye. Wished for this as PC release since they announced it in the past... now it is here and not playable - thx.
Which OS you use? Below Win8 it is not supported.
Also some threads state that you need to run it in Admin mode, or in compatibility mode...
Installing different Drivers was a solution for some...
Shutdown second Screen sometimes is a solution...

Overall the port of this game is... simply garbage.

erm, why the hell do several different antivirus prevent this game from launching ? THAT's the question I'd like answered.
getting a refund. Will maybe buy it agani IF I get an answer.

yeah i would say ask the same also im sure it has nothing to do wtih the antivirus, it's the game it self
