Amptastic glitch?

There's absolutely no way for me to add stun ammo to the High Fidelity weapon. I have searched every corner of the screen and I see no option to add the stun ammo amp. I mean it's level 2. The game says I can add an amp to it. But there's absolutely no way for me to do this.

Tried plugging in a controller and hitting X because I saw it on a youtube video, but there's not even a prompt for it.

That's weird, itd usually automatically make High Fidelity lvl 2 and let you do it. Maybe try loading a previous save?

Have to start the game over. If it happens a second time, I'm afraid this is refund territory.

That time it worked. I guess I just gotta make sure I save often so I don't lose a ton of progress from the game going ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Why start it over? Why not just save and reload it? Or in the menu you can abort a mission.

Coming late to this but yes - restart the mission and after handing-in the balloons STAND STILL AND WAIT FOR INSTRUCTIONS - don't try equipping anything.

The 'disembodied voice' will show you how to equip Amps - if you try before this happens or move away that never happens and the option to equip weapon amps (or other amps with a controller) never becomes available
