Game doesn't launch
Windows 10, Ryzen 2600X, 16GB of RAM, and 1070 TI. Double click, game doesn't launch. It syncs but then stops. Anyone else is having that issue?

Yup, bitdefender but game still crashes nonetheless. Created my character, game was about to start, and crashed lol.

Yup, it was bitdefender being a ♥♥♥♥♥ and I switched to my main hard drive and game works perfectly fine now. No crashes and etc. Thanks to Matt and Sloko.

Yeah, it's not starting for me either. I've got a 7700k and 1080 Ti.

EDIT: I found my issue. It was my anti-virus (Bitdefender) that stopped the game from launching.

Was bitdefender through Access? I don't see it anywhere. I remember having issues with Just Cause 3 and my saved games. It kept blocking it but it showed up on access and fixed the issue.

Bitdefender was blocking the game for me also. It didn't show up in notifications so I had to add an exception under 'Advanced Threat Defense'

Same for me... Hmm

Bitdefender? What's that?

Yeah, excluding the Steam Folder from Bitdefender made the game launch fine.

ok for anyone using avast that's having troubles opening the game go into the Avast app and enter the settings, under general you should see a tab called exclusions then find the game on your pc files through browse and tick the box to whitelist the game worked for me

Added to Comodo & avast, still not working here. Also tried running as admin & in compatability mode, still no joy. Gutted :steamsad:

Moved install folder & tried re install. on a different drive to the other 2 attempts & nothing.
Disabled Comodo & Avast & still won't launch.
Any ideas Devs?

Same here , reinstalled & verified files not launching either way

Doesn't launch for me, too.

Added sunset.exe to exceptions in Bitdefender.

I had the same issue, and it turned out to be an antivirus problem. I use Avast, and even after adding the game to my list of exceptions, Avast's "Behavior Shield" was still silently blocking it. I turned that off, and the game finally launched. Hope this helps

Thanks for the suggestion but still no joy
