How many attempts did it take you to beat the Impossible Lair stage at the end of the game for the first time?

It took me 27 attempts, with 48 bees-- and completed it with 6 bees left.

That includes the first one at the beginning of the game, one that I quit out partway through, and attempt 25 when I ran out of time a split second before the door at the end of the level.

Steam showed it took me 9 more hours to finish the game than it did to get the 48 bee achievement, but there were some significant breaks when I paused the game for a while so it probably only took me around 8 or so.

Tried it over the course of the game 10 times. The first few were with less than 5 bees

I got further and further every try.
The last time I tried it without all Bee's was with 30 Bees. I reached the last third of the lair there.
After that I was sure that I can easily overcome it when I have all of the Bee's
Beat it ony my first try with 48 Bees did have 10 Bee's left.

I think 7? And I tried a couple of times prior to 48 just to get a feel for the % progress. But I'd need to check.

It took me 50 tries and a bottle of vodka.

Yeah, it took my friend over 60 tries, but probably half of those were him quitting out partway through. It did take him close to 9 hours, too, though.

Got home. Yes, it was 7. Probably 4 or 5 "real" attempts with the rest curiosity at the very start of the game. 30 bees lost in the successful attempt.

Just beat it on my 4th attempt with 5 bees remaining. It was a very fun level that truly put to the test the skills you've been nurturing across the game. Capital B himself was annoying, but the stages were a blast (literally even)

It's amazing how different people experience the same game content. A friend of mine is in the process of playing the Impossible Lair stage right now and he finds it not particularly difficult (he's good at these kinds of things and found the rest of the game rather underwhelming) but just plain tedious and even boring.

For me, it was annoying having to redo the same sections over and over, so tedious, yes. Boring? Not for me.

I was curious how many attempts it would take me... after I read the discussions and knew about the difficulty of it I was expecting the worst. I'm an average player. Turned out I made it in 4 tries (including the one at the beginning of the game). FOUR!
Not a single bee out if 48 was left :-O

I lost her a few seconds before the end, even got her back by a lucky coincidence (since it's an escape sequence it could only be luck ;-)
--> so I can claim BOTH characters survived the adventure :D

Nice XD I think that section is designed to be kind of tight even if you nail it, but in a way that it still has a bit of leeway for error.

I gotta admit I like how the last section is actually really easy, but it preys on the fact you'r eprobably sweating and shaky due to how you can probably count the bees you have left on one hand, and That it's a timed countdown bit

It took me 5 tries and I had 11 bees left at the end. A few of my attempts were with a non-max amount of bees

This thread is outdated. The attempts are not comparable anymore with the original version of the lair.
