Quick swap suggestion
Just 100%-ed the game, really enjoyed it, though without the Ark tool completing the rest of the points of interest would be painful (also not ppossible in some cases). Here are my thoughts about weapon swapping in general, played most of the game without the recently introduced quick swap.

Both tools and special items have unlockable equipment slots. All special items have a set amount of uses (restorable at camps) and I'd say it's okay to just plan ahead and pick what you think will be most useful. Weapons on the other hand - only Animal Treats and Rifle have uses count, so that leaves us with 15 other tools being more or less swappable at will - and I had to juggle through inventory a lot changing my tools.

Because you can only scroll through them in one direction (at least on a gamepad) it's not necessarily convenient (and definitely not safe) to scroll through them than just going to inventory and picking them up at the currently used slot. The "mid game" was the biggest offender, since I've tried to use Sickle whenever I could but obviously had to pair it up often with Baseball Bat and Axe (never used Machete while we are at it) to destroy stuff. Along the way I've found some treasure or fishing spots that also need the two different tools to interact with. Occasional hoeing and seeding plants was also on the list of activities, so that leaves me with 6-7 tools I had to juggle with.

At the late game also the Builder's Kit got his uses and it also was annoying to use it just for specific events and then swap again with other common tool.

tl;dr
What I would propose is some quick swap circle for tools only with every (unlocked) tool available, even Animal Treats and Rifle being always available but still with restricted usage. That way we could quickly equip desired tool since only one is usable (at a time) anyway. With this change, I think unlockable tools perks would have to go away or be redesigned into different bonuses.

yepp, really the inventory is not very well organized and the weapon that they give you when completing the collection of the ark I went to get it only when the game ended, since I needed it to make 100 percent of the game .. in the eastern part of the map, there was a timer box that I couldn't access since it was between two stones that needed 100 damage to break them, and I went for the powerful fist of the ark to make that box and have the game at 100 ..

and the treasures I had to resort to google hehe .. there I got a map where the treasures of the entire game were located, since some of them really made it difficult for me to get them all
